At Kiran, the safety and well-being of children are our top priorities. This Child Safety Policy outlines the measures we take to protect children who interact with the platform and to ensure Kiran remains a safe and supportive space for all users, especially minors.

1. Purpose:
This policy is designed to:
Promote a safe digital environment for children.
Prevent exploitation, abuse, or harmful interactions.
Guide users and organizations in ethical and legal engagement with children online.

2. Scope
This policy applies to:
All users of the Kiran platform.
All activities, content, and communications involving or affecting children.
All nonprofit and volunteer organizations engaging with or representing children.

3. Registration and Age Requirements
Children under 13 are not permitted to create an account on Kiran.
Users aged 13 to 17 must have parental or guardian consent to register and use the platform.
Kiran may request age verification or consent documentation where necessary.

4. Safe Communication
Direct messaging features are monitored for abusive or inappropriate behavior using automated and human moderation.
Children are encouraged to report any suspicious or uncomfortable interactions using our reporting tools.
Adults must not engage in private communication with minors without proper oversight or organizational context.

5. Content Restrictions
Sharing or requesting any explicit, harmful, or exploitative content involving children is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
All content must adhere to our Content Guidelines and respect children’s dignity and rights.

6. Organizational Responsibility
Nonprofits and volunteer groups working with children must follow all local child protection laws and are responsible for ensuring safe interactions.
Profiles and posts featuring children must have appropriate consent from parents or legal guardians.

7. Reporting and Response
Users can report inappropriate behavior or suspected child endangerment via the in-app Report feature or by contacting @ChildSafety .

Kiran will investigate all reports promptly and may involve law enforcement or child protection authorities when necessary.
